Dr. Thomas Cahill, DDS

Dr. Thomas Cahill is an endodontist whose practice is dedicated to relieving dental pain and preserving natural teeth through precise, comfortable, and compassionate care.

A native of the Mid-Atlantic, Dr. Cahill earned his B.S. in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University before completing a Master of Biomedical Science, his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, and his Certificate in Endodontics—all at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where he received his DDS in 2022. Between his dental degree and his specialty training, he completed a General Practice Residency at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, New York, treating medically complex patients and managing dental emergencies in a demanding hospital setting. During his endodontic residency, his research centered on integrating 3D Dynamic Navigation technology into apical surgery, reflecting a commitment to the precision and advanced techniques that define modern endodontics.

In practice, Dr. Cahill provides the full scope of endodontic care—including root canal therapy, retreatment, and surgical treatment of complex cases—using microscope-enhanced magnification and advanced imaging to diagnose accurately and treat conservatively. He is known for a calm, thorough chairside manner, taking the time to ensure each patient understands their care and feels at ease throughout treatment. He places equal value on his relationships with referring dentists, prioritizing clear communication and a smooth return of every patient for restorative care.

Outside the office, Dr. Cahill is passionate about cooking and baking—an interest that began in service, baking for his community’s homeless population during college. For him, it reflects the same principle that guides his work: careful attention to detail, offered in the care of others.
