Meet Dr. John Hyson

John M. Hyson, DDS

Dr. John HysonDr. John M. Hyson is a third generation dentist. He received a B.S. from Loyola College in 1974. He attended dental school in 1979. He was a general dentist in private practice in Towson with his father from 1979 to 1985. He also worked for the Baltimore County department of Public Health, Department of Dentistry from 1981 to 1985.

He completed his advanced training in his specialty at the University of Maryland, Dental School in 1987. He received his Masters in oral Biology from the Graduate School, University of Maryland in 1988.
In private practice as a Endodontic Specialist since 1987, Dr. Hyson is active in many local, state and national organizations. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontist, the Maryland State Dental Association, the Maryland State Association of Endodontist, and the Baltimore County Dental Association, and Harford County Dental Society. He was President of the Maryland State Association of Endodontist in 1993, and President of the Baltimore County Dental Association in 1994. He has served on many dental committees, chairing the Baltimore County Dental Association's peer review and membership committees.

Dr. Hyson has taught at the Dental School, University of Maryland in both undergraduate and postgraduate Endodontic clinics, for the past eleven years.
